This holiday season, a study conducted on the Social Advisors by Social Labs platform has uncovered high-value insights from the consumer community (Advisors). This analysis provides a unique perspective on activities, preferences, and consumption and purchasing patterns during this time of year, enhancing understanding of the diversity and dynamics of the festive season.
Did you know...?
- Spending Plans: 55% of consumers plan to spend more than $1,500 MXN on their holiday shopping. Purchases in 2023 are more intentional, focusing on everyday items like clothing, footwear, and sportswear. Seven out of ten consumers will shop both in physical stores and through websites or digital apps.
- Travel Plans: Additionally, seven out of ten consumers plan to travel during the December holidays, with preferred airlines being Volaris at 90%, Viva Aerobus at 60%, and Aeroméxico also at 60%.
These insights offer a deeper understanding of consumers’ seasonal behaviors and preferences, providing valuable guidance for businesses during the festive period.

Platform updates
Enhanced CAPTCHA Algorithm
We continue to refine our platforms to ensure higher levels of authenticity and information consistency. We have developed and implemented a new anti-spam control algorithm using a CAPTCHA mechanism at the start and/or end of each mission. This mechanism ensures that only legitimate users, not bots, access the missions, strengthening protection and increasing the level of security and spam control.
Android 13 Plugin Updates
In response to recent Google Play requirements with the release of Android 13, we have fully updated all app components. This update ensures compatibility across all smartphone models, improving the app's security, consistency, and performance.
Significant Improvements to the Corporate Messenger Platform
IWe have enhanced the web user experience to match the features available on the app. The improvements include:
- Complete Group Redesign: Now allows participants to be removed from a group and co-administrators to be selected.
- Display of Shared Multimedia Objects: Chat info now shows all shared media, in both group and individual chats.
- View User Extended Data
- Change/Delete Profile Avatar
- Mute Groups Individually: Allows specific groups to be muted while other notifications remain active.
- Show Common Groups: Chat info displays groups shared between two users.

Yastás Adds Banco Santander Payments to Its Correspondent Network
Yastás, part of Gentera, has partnered with Banco Santander. This alliance will allow millions of customers to make cash deposits and pay their credit cards. With presence in all 32 states and more than 1,438 municipalities across Mexico, it will offer Santander México clients 5,400 points nationwide, with at least a thousand more in future phases. Electrolit, known for its variety of flavored electrolyte solutions, is a go-to product for hydration during illness or even hangovers. But is it really good for your health? According to a study by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO), Electrolit’s 625ml presentation provides complete consumer information, high sanitary quality, and accurate net content. Liverpool Among the World's Best Companies 2023
El Puerto de Liverpool ranks 294th among the World's Best Companies 2023. Time magazine, in collaboration with Statista, published the "World's Best Companies 2023" list. The ranking, based on extensive studies, highlights companies worldwide with the best performance, evaluating employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability (ESG). Carvajal Empaques’ Environmental Commitment
Aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at an 85.85% commitment level, Carvajal Empaques is dedicated to "doing things right for the planet," achieving actions like:
- 6,000 tons of recycled plastic.
- Recovery of around 6,608 tons of recyclable waste.
- Reclamation of over 18,000 tons of recycled raw materials for industrial processes.
- Training for 290,000 people on waste separation and recycling. (Link)
BYD Aims to Sell Up to 50,000 Electric Vehicles in 2024
In less than a year, Chinese automaker BYD launched its fifth vehicle in the Mexican market—the electric sports compact Seal—and now has 20 sales points nationwide. BYD aims to close the year "aggressively" with 50 points (dealers and locations in malls) to reach up to 50,000 electric vehicle sales in 2024. (Link)
